The work of visual artist Kristin Hoell transforms mundane conditions into ambiguous abstract imagery, thereby questioning the stability of an overall objectively perceivable reality.
Instead, the pictures point to a moment of pure presence and individual realization:
this • is • now • still.
K.Hoell’s visual art is an invitation to indulge meditative moments and to discover the power of mindful contemplative existence.
K.Hoell’s work has been exhibited in various group shows in Europe (i.e. London, Berlin, Reykjavík, Munich). Louise Clements (Artistic Director of Quad and Format International Photography Festival) selected “Drowning in a Sea of Infinite Meaning” to feature on the Source Photographic Review magazine‘s MA portfolio. The project was also shown at “The Photographer’s Gallery” in London as part of the selection for “FreshFaced & WildEyed”. The curatorial art platform “Collectionair” chose a selection of K.Hoell’s works for their first ever photography show.
K.Hoell lives and creates in Berlin.
